Vintage Brass Lion Head Door Knocker with Hardware
Eye-catching vintage gold brass lion door knocker has beautiful texture and features and has an oval-shaped knocker with a round piece in the center. A very heavy and well-made piece! There are reddish-colored rust spots in the detailing of the lion's face and mane that are consistent with age and weathering (please see photos). We don't use chemical cleaners or products of any kind, so it is possible that something exists out there that could help minimize or get rid of the spots. It's in overall great vintage condition though and is perfect for announcing the arrival of your guests at your front door! Hardware is included, it comes with two long brass screws for mounting.
Measures 4.75" at the widest point x 8" tall x almost 2" deep. Each screw measures a little over 2 1/8" long and when it is screwed completely into the back of the lion's head 1 7/8" of the screw sticks out. (This measurement is provided in order to help you with the width of your door in comparison to the door knocker, though shorter screws of the same diameter could always be purchased if the screws provided are too long.)
All items come from a smoke-free, chemical-free, and pet-friendly environment. We do have one shop cat but she is terrible at wrapping so we don’t usually ask her for her help! Our inventory is also stored in a room that she does not have access to, but since cat hair can possibly be transferred from our clothing please let us know if you have allergies or sensitivities to cats and we will take extra precautions.
