Distilled in 2021 (only 449 bottles released), this artisanal mezcal has a bright and herbaceous profile. Made from Michoacán’s distinctive Cupreata varietal, locally known as Chino, this stunning agave takes roughly 8 to 10 years to mature before it can be harvested for mezcal production.

Mocel Mezcal is crafted using artisanal methods. We run limited batches of agave expression so no two batches are identical. Just like our mezcal, each ceramic bottle is crafted by Mexican artisans to be beautifully distinct.

ABOUT MOCEL

 Two Sisters, Two Families
We are two sisters, born and raised in rural Washington State and daughters of farmworker immigrants from Michoacán, Mexico. Between growing up in the lush Yakima Valley farmlands and spending time with our grandparents in rural Michoacán, we learned the hard work of cultivating and making real food.

Through Mocel, we share these lessons. Spirits should be made with simple ingredients, crafted in small-batches to capture the superior flavors from those ingredients and designed to connect and share with the people around you. It is the way mezcalero families have been doing it for 400 years and it’s an honor to work alongside them and share that mezcal heritage with you.
