OOAK Koala Needle-Felted Wool 5" Hoop Wall Hanging by Dani Ives

Adorable and OOAK (one-of-a-kind) piece was created by artist, teacher and author Dani Ives of Good Natured Art and originally purchased from her shop on Etsy. Her original work can be seen both on her shop page on Etsy and on her personal website, and her various works have been featured in magazines, workshops, websites, and museums. We even commissioned her a few years ago to do a custom portrait of our pet cat Mocha, which turned out beautifully and still hangs in our home. This original wool painting of a koala is completely needle-felted and made with pure wool on high quality wool felt. Needle felting is the process of transforming wool into 3D objects using a barbed needle. When you "felt" the wool, you're agitating the fibers so that they bond together and form a solid fabric. The koala is simply amazing in person and made with so much detailing and texture. It's felted on a yellow background and is framed in a 5" wooden and metal embroidery hoop. The artist’s name is wood-burned onto the side. Entire piece is in excellent condition with no damage. Please note that the last photo is from the original listing in the artist's shop. Dani's Etsy shop sells prints and e-courses but no longer carries her 3D felted creations, but the ones on her personal website sell for anywhere from $50-$2,000. This is a rare one-of-a-kind sold out piece that's impossible to find anywhere else!

All items come from a smoke-free, chemical-free, and pet-friendly environment. We do have one shop cat but she is terrible at wrapping so we don’t usually ask her for her help! Our inventory is also stored in a room that she does not have access to, but since cat hair can possibly be transferred from our clothing please let us know if you have allergies or sensitivities to cats and we will take extra precautions.
