We grow up learning about inventors like Thomas Edison and Benjamin Franklin. As we get older, it’s Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, Larry Page and countless others who inspire us to break molds.
Unicorn Distillery embodies that entrepreneurial spirit. Our product proudly harmonizes tradition with innovation to create something fun, new and completely unique. We’ve created a corn vodka and agave tequila that naturally change color — with no sugar and zero carbs — and we’re making it in small batches, in a family-owned distillery in Seattle, WA. Our color-changing tequila and vodka cocktails are designed to disrupt expectations and inspire the, “What if?” As the world’s #1 producer of all-natural, color-changing vodka and tequila, it’s our goal to inspire the risk-taker within U.
Founders Rick and Alaina Hewitt wanted to create a beverage that celebrates the changemaker in all of us. Alaina brings her marketing, event planning and restaurant industry knowledge to the table, creating a brand we can all see ourselves in. Pioneering is in Rick’s blood as a third-generation entrepreneur and 10-year veteran of the alcohol beverage industry, having worked on craft brewery and craft cider projects before starting Unicorn Distillery from his garage.
COCKTAIL
UNICORN SODA
The Unicorn Soda is a simple, low-calorie cocktail made from one part Unicorn Butterfly Pea Vodka to about two to four parts soda water (and a squeeze of lemon or lime). Vodka sodas have become popular as a low-carb cocktail as well. The key to maximizing flavor with this drink is fresh limes and fresh, clean ice.
Ingredients:
Unicorn Butterfly Pea Vodka 1½ to 2 oz
Club soda, 3 to 5 oz
Fresh lime (or lemon), up to ½ oz
Ice
Instructions
Fill a rocks’ or Collins glass with ice. Pour Unicorn Butterfly Pea Vodka and soda over ice. Squeeze lime over the top and garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.
