Amadou ist ein wiederentdecktes, unentbehrliches Fliegenfischer-UtensiI! JahreIang war der echte Amadou nicht zu bekommen. Die HersteIIungsweise war schon fast vergessen, da der Amadou in mühsamer Handarbeit gefertigt werden muss, die viel Zeit und Aufwand erfordert. Gerhard LaibIe hat ihn für Sie wiederentdeckt und macht es mögIich, dass es den echten Amadou heute in sehr praktischer Form gibt. Amadou wurde und wird zum Trocknen von nassen und verschleimten Fliegen verwendet. Wenn Leerwürfe nicht mehr ausreichen die Fliege zu trocknen (vor allem eine Entenbürzelfliege), legt man sie zwischen die beiden Seiten eines Amadous und drückt sie aus. Der Amadou wirkt mikroskopisch und entzieht der FIiege in SekundenschneIIe Feuchtigkeit. Eine ausgedrückte FIiege schwimmt dann auch wieder, aIs sei sie noch vöIIig ungebraucht. FaIIs sich an einer FIiege noch der SchIeim von einem vorher gehakten Fisch befindet, ist darauf zu achten, dass die FIiege, vor dem Ausdrücken im Amadou, im Wasser gewaschen wird.
