OOAK Orange Needle-Felted Wool Owl Sculpture by Dani Ives

Adorable and OOAK (one-of-a-kind) piece was created by artist, teacher and author Dani Ives of Good Natured Art, Etsy shop Dani Ives Fiber Artist. Her original work can be seen both on her shop page on Etsy and on her personal website, and her various works have been featured in magazines, workshops, websites, and museums. We even commissioned her a few years ago to do a custom portrait of our pet cat Mocha, which turned out beautifully and still hangs in our home. This original wool owl sculpture is completely needle-felted with an ombre effect in shades of orange and also has beige, light pink, and black accents.

Needle felting is the process of transforming wool into 3D objects using a barbed needle. When you "felt" the wool, you're agitating the fibers so that they bond together and form a solid fabric. The owl is simply stunning in person and made with so much detailing and texture. He even has tiny stitched feet! New and with no damage or loose threading. Makes a great gift or a collector’s piece if you like one-of-a-kind art or sculptures. Dani's Etsy shop sells prints and e-courses but no longer carries her 3D felted creations, but the ones on her personal website sell for anywhere from $50-$2,000. This is a rare one-of-a-kind sold out piece that's impossible to find anywhere else!

Measures 3.25” tall with a 2.25” diameter.  

For vintage and pre-loved items we do our best to note any imperfections while we're photographing and listing products, but it’s always possible that we might miss something. Vintage clothing in general and all vintage clothing listed in the store has been pre-owned and most likely worn by previous owners unless specifically stated otherwise. Any items that are new or pre-loved will be identified as such.

All items come from a smoke-free, chemical-free, and pet-friendly environment. We do have one shop cat but she is terrible at wrapping so we don’t usually ask her for her help! Our inventory is also stored in a room that she does not have access to, but since cat hair can possibly be transferred from our clothing please let us know if you have allergies or sensitivities to cats and we will take extra precautions.
