As a pioneer in the American Single Malt category, Lineage celebrates the balance of Texas provenance and old world tradition. It features Texas-grown and malted barley aged in refill oak alongside Scottish Golden Promise malted barley. We've infused what we've learned from the centuries old single malt traditions that have long been an inspiration to us. Together, these elements are refined through maturation under the intense climate of Texas.

    THE DISTILLERY

    In 2008, Balcones was nothing more than an idea driven by a passion to create something original and authentic, right here in the Heart of Texas. It all started in an old welding shop under a bridge in Waco. For the next year, we replaced the roofing, knocked out walls, laid brick, cut pipes, installed copper pot stills from Portugal, and shoehorned a whisky distillery inside that quaint building. Proud of what we had accomplished on our own, we began distilling in 2009.

    Sweet and indulgent, sourdough starter and cream soda, mulled cider, bruised bananas and peaches


    TASTE

    Caramelized sweetness, soft oak, manuka honey, chestnuts and hint of red wine reduction


    FINISH

    Warm engaging notes of pineapple upside down cake and creamy Vietnamese tea linger on a soft finish
