This rum is distilled from locally sourced sugar cane syrup. It is aged on cinnamon, vanilla, pecans, and anise.

THE DISTILLERY

John Emerald Distilling is a small batch craft distillery located in beautiful downtown Opelika, Alabama. We offer tours, cocktails, and bottle sales in house as well as distribute our spirits throughout Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, New York, California, Colorado, and Illinois.


We are proud of our heritage. From the original three Sharp brothers who ventured to America from Scotland to the namesake of our company, John Emerald Sharp, the Sharps have lived lives of integrity: honoring God, their fellow man and their family. So when it came time to name our distillery, the idea to honor our forefathers in name and spirit rang true.


TASTING NOTES

Nose- Sweet vanilla, anise, citrus peel

Palate- Cinnamon with an earthy back note

Finish- Allspice and oak tannins
