Chanticleer celebrates the long time French-American friendship dating back to the 1700’s and to Paris, Kentucky where Chicken Cock was founded in 1856. Sealed in a prohibition era collectible tin, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in fine French Cognac casks has vibrant notes of ripened peaches with tannic bursts of vanilla and cherry.

THE DISTILLERY

Born in the heart of Bourbon county - before bourbon whiskey was "Bourbon"

In 1856, James A. Miller built a distillery and started making Chicken Cock Whiskey in Paris, Kentucky. After his death, Miller left the business to a trusted distillery clerk, George G. White, who made Chicken Cock into the legend it became.

19th Century - The Birth of Chicken Cock Whiskey
1830's-1840's

Hardships strike.

First mention of the Chicken Cock Whiskey name.

Trademark infringement suit against Miller’s Gamecock in Boston.
